The projects below received the greatest number of votes from our Massy employees in this region and will therefore proceed to the final stage for disbursing the grants. During this stage further criteria will be reviewed to assure regulatory adherence.
This pad bank will bring greater awareness to period poverty in TT by having a daily presence on the main roads of our nation. It’ll also increase the frequency of distributions to individuals, shelters and groups who require assistance. Lastly, this will improve the educational (hygiene & medical) seminars to those who require. More females can have access to sanitary products in times of need!
Helping Her Foundation is a local NGO that works to tackle period poverty by providing feminine sanitary products to those that cannot afford them themselves.
“The director, Sam Duncan- started this NGO and then battled breast cancer. A young woman, whose main goal in life is to help other girls and women. Secondly, the thought of not being able to afford or have access to sanitary napkins during that time of the month, is something I truly cannot imagine, yet this is the reality for many females. Most young girls are confused, scared and unprepared when they first see their period. Why should they stress over not having access to pads/tampons?”
This project will bring about practical steps and systematic changes required for equity in education and prevent exclusionary practices.
The Autism Connect of Trinidad and Tobago was established in May 1990 to work together with families to help all individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders achieve their fullest potential through education, training and advocacy for affordable and appropriate quality services.

The programs shared by this organisation have helped and continues to support our son as well as my family and educators at his primary school to understand ASD and to create an environment that is inclusive and equitable for all.”
This project will aid in creating a cleaner and safer environment, a reduction of stray dog population in Trinidad, and promoting mental health and well-being for adopters.
Animal Defence Society works to secure the welfare and promote the humane treatment of the canines within Trinidad and Tobago through various initiatives and programs.
“My love for animals makes me feel hurt when I see the stray population being mistreated, unloved and neglected. Projects like these create material change in the world and small animal shelters oftentimes do not receive the requisite funding to keep doing the good works that may be small but create real change. Animal Defense Society started with one individual who took the personal responsibility to effect positive change which allows each rescue a real chance at a quality and happy life.”
This project seeks to eradicate poverty for the vulnerable in our society. This will now uplift their standard of living due to fact that they will now enjoy basic amenities which will be provided by volunteers of our Church Community at St. Benedicts R.C. La Romaine. Above all, enlightening the lives of these families and bringing joy and smiles to their faces, is what matters most.
The Kindness Makes A Difference Foundation is a charity organization whose main goal is to aid victims of poverty by providing them with donations of food, clothing and more.

This NGO will provide a home away from home for pediatric cancer patients who are undergoing treatment at Mt. Hope Hospital. The facility would allow 6 children and 6 adults to be housed with meals during the treatment period free of charge to the patients and their families. Additionally, play and art therapy and other services will be offered to patients free of charge.
Promise house is a charitable organization with the goal to build a permanent Home Away From Home for eligible pediatric cancer outpatients and family members. Although their primary goal is to offer comprehensive support during the children’s treatment journey, they go above and beyond by providing additional services such as play therapy, tuition, and occupational therapy to the children, all at no cost to the family. The organization’s focus on enhancing the physical and emotional well-being of pediatric cancer patients sets it apart as a dedicated and compassionate support system for both the young patients and their families during this challenging time.
“Words cannot begin to describe the challenges associated with childhood cancer, and the last thing a child or their parents should have to worry about is comfort, facility aims to offer that many times over. Witnessing childhood cancer and the treatment they receive firsthand has been very difficult. The treatment is very tough on the children’s bodies and causes unimaginable pain to them and their families. Every child deserves hope.”

To establish a collaboration not only with our two stores (Chaguanas and Brentwood) but also with the community base that out reaches students from all areas of our catchment, Edinburgh, Longdenville, Felicity, Charleville, Chase Village, Edinburgh 500, Enterprise, a great opportunity for Massy as no other business has reached thus far with any assistance to support the school, we will have a lot of marketing to support to enforce our massy values of love and care especially in their activities they host throughout the year in visiting the school we have seen our future leaders in discipline, our future massy customers in growing and humble bunch of kids in ethics and morals, the School is not government financed but it gets its funding from well wishers and parents to produce well disciplined kids from all ethnic groups.
Longdenville Sathya Sai Primary School is a primary school located in Chaguanas and overseen by the Sri Sathya Sai Education Board of Management.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that advocates and works for the right to decent housing and sustainable improvement of the community habitat. Since 1997, they have helped thousands of Trinbagonians construct, rehabilitate or preserve their homes. They also provide training in financial management, technical and life skills, housing initiatives and disaster risk reduction programmes.

The Lady Hochoy Home in Gasparillo is an organization established to cater to children with special needs, including various learning and mental disabilities. The primary focus of the organization is to provide dedicated care and education for these children, ensuring they receive the support and attention they require. The facility is specifically designed to accommodate and meet the unique needs of children with special needs, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.

The Shelter for Battered Women and Children was established in 1987 as a safe haven for women and children who are victims of all forms of domestic violence. Their mission is to support victims in their transition from victims to survivors and survivors into success stories.
