Documenting the impactful work of the Forces for Good organisations has become a cornerstone of this initiative. By doing this, we aim to showcase the resilience of the human spirit dedicated to enhancing the lives of others and amplify the efforts of these organisations.
As a result of this project, there is greater awareness to the ladies who suffer and it also allows the wider community in Barbados to get a better understanding of this illness.
BARNOD Inc. has shown commitment and dedication to improving the lives of persons with disabilities, especially through its educational programs. In advocating for inclusiveness, they have and continue to promote how persons with disabilities are integrated into the workforce, enhancing the core life skills and opportunities for the disabled community.
People with Down syndrome and cognitive disabilities have reading comprehension difficulties. The use of methodologies that are not very accessible within the educational system becomes an additional barrier to access quality education. The project will qualify 60 leading teachers in the region to implement the easy reading methodology, which will bring educational content closer to the students, 1513 students currently enrolled in the city.
The positive difference that this project will have will be the reduction of violence, fewer children and young people consuming psychoactive drugs, less crime in the sector and its surroundings, reduction of child pregnancies, support for mothers head of household looking for businesses, and less school dropout.
Construction of the greenhouse project will provide food security for the chidlren as well as educating the them on agriculture.
The play area of the institution is badly deteriorated and needs repainting for the children. School items are also needed for the girls to start school such as school shoes, ribbons, etc. This project will help bridge these gaps.
The funds will assist in suppling 170 needy students with healthy meals at $400 each for an entire school year. It will also purchase 2 large screen smart televisions for the reading room and grade 1 class. The televisions will improve literacy, and enable the students to have a better understanding of words and sounds.
This project provides educational support for children in an extremely poor inner city community. It also helps to unite the community by reducing gang violence since the school is staffed by members from the community.
Many suffer from this illness and are unaware of it or of treatment options. This project will provide persons with information about the illness that is critical to survival.
This initiative seeks to ensure that food is available for all individuals regardless of financial standing or status. They serve all ages and types of people with food from the specific food groups to ensure they have their nutrients.
This project will bring about practical steps and systematic changes required for equity in education and prevent exclusionary practices.
The school is located between both stores in our Chaguanas community and they have the allowance for multiple things to assist with the day to day running. To establish a collaboration not only with our two stores (Chaguanas and Brentwood) but also with the community base that out reaches students from all areas of our catchment, Edinburgh, Longdenville, Felicity, Charleville, Chase Village, Edinburgh 500, Enterprise, a great opportunity for Massy as no other business has reached thus far with any assistance to support the school, we will have a lot of marketing to support to enforce our massy values of love and care especially in their activities they host throughout the year in visiting the school we have seen our future leaders in discipline, our future massy customers in growing and humble bunch of kids in ethics and morals, the School is not government financed but it gets its funding from well wishers and parents to produce well disciplined kids from all ethnic groups.
Feeding Northeast Florida serves communities in Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns Counties. Their mission is to provide additional food resources to meet the needs of families and individuals in Northeast Florida who struggle with food insecurity. With the support they receive, they are able to serve over 85,000 community neighbors daily, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals.
We will support one of our employees from each city (Bogotá, Medellín and Cali) in a project to repair their home and to deliver an appliance to solve a need
