The projects below received the greatest number of votes from our Massy employees in this region and will therefore proceed to the final stage for disbursing the grants. During this stage further criteria will be reviewed to assure regulatory adherence.

Ruimveldt Children’s Home and Care Center is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides hope and a future for homeless children in the Ruimveldt communities of Georgetown, Guyana. Their mission is to offer support, care, and a safe haven for vulnerable children, helping them build a better life.

This project will aid in providing access to online learning through the establishment of IT centres for children
The Rupununi Village is a diverse and culturally rich area in Guyana which serves as a hub for interesting exchanges of peoples, cultures, and resources, showcasing the ecological diversity of the region.
“The Rupununi area needs much focus to enhance learning for the children, not much access to facilities for learnings to take place.”
Through this project, a shade house was constructed to house vegetables that needed protection from the sun, and a mini fruit farm in the surrounding area outside was developed. Much harvesting has already taken place. The idea is to reduce the food bill at the home and encourage residents to witness and enjoy the ‘seed to the table’ experience.
Chartered in September 2020, the Rotary Club of Garden City focuses on service projects centered around the environment. They believe the environment presents a crucial opportunity to raise awareness and promote Climate Action and Environmental Sustainability for the preservation of planet Earth.

Anna Regina Secondary School, is a secondary school located in Anna Regina, Pomeroon-Supenaam, Essequibo Coast, Guyana that was established on 8 May 1973.

The literacy program will provide books for kids and schools and invest in literacy programs.
The organization is focused on enriching children’s literacy by offering a combination of books and robust support through their dedicated literacy program. Their objective is to provide young learners with a varied selection of reading resources, nurturing a deep-rooted enthusiasm for learning and reading. By championing the cause of child literacy, they aspire to shape a generation that values knowledge and possesses the tools to succeed.

The play area of the institution is badly deteriorated and needs repainting for the children. School items are also needed for the girls to start school such as school shoes, ribbons, etc. This project will help bridge these gaps.
Joshua House Life Centers is a charitable ministry that operates children’s homes, orphan rescues, Christian schools, churches, and wellness centers. Their focus is on ministering to the poor, impoverished, widows, and orphans, delivering them from various forms of oppression such as sin, sickness, disease, poverty, and extreme suffering. They provide support through feeding the hungry, advocating for the voiceless, and offering care and adoption for the lonely, naked, and orphaned.
