The projects below received the greatest number of votes from our Massy employees in this region and will therefore proceed to the final stage for disbursing the grants. During this stage further criteria will be reviewed to assure regulatory adherence.
This project is very significant as there is now a national drive to address some of the educational challenges faced by our early childhood institutions
Chevannes Basic School is a kindergarten in Kingston, Jamaica.
“This institution has been a pillar of the community and has provided much needed educational support for many generations of our young children from the community including now my own daughter.”
This project will definitely help us in impacting and changing the lives not just in word but indeed. Saving from the huge cost of electricity will help the church to venture into or take on other activities of service to the community
Clifton New Testament Church of God is a Christian Church located in Kingston, Jamaica with a community of believers dedicated to service, worship, discipleship & God.

The funds will assist in suppling 170 needy students with healthy meals at $400 each for an entire school year. It will also purchase 2 large screen smart televisions for the reading room and grade 1 class. The televisions will improve literacy, and enable the students to have a better understanding of words and sounds.
Franklin Town Primary School is located in Kingston Jamaica that is dedicated to providing a safe place for students to obtain a primary level education and thrive to be the best they can be.
“I am a past student of this Primary School, as well as my 3 daughters. The school is in my community, and I would love to see it flourish. There are a lot of parents in the community that are not financially stable . They do their best to send their children to school, but often without lunch and breakfast. Getting event this one meal would really help.”
This project would provide urgently needed transitional home for 17 Young men who are currently living at Matthew 25:40, a Mustard Seed Home. All these young men were born with the HIV/AIDS.
The Kiwanis Club of North St Andrew in Kingston, Jamaica, focuses on promoting human and spiritual values over material ones. The organization aims to develop intelligent and service-oriented citizens provides a way of building lasting friendships, offering selfless service, and contributing to building better communities.
“Once persons know of their HIV status, they are being cast aside and I believe that they are individuals who can make a contribution to the society; even if it is a small way. The Club currently provides mentorship and workshops there at least twice per month to get them to integrate into the society.”
This project will help to provide at least one hot meal per day for the students.
Duxes Basic School is a school located in St. Catherine, Jamaica

This project provides educational support for children in an extremely poor inner city community. It also helps to unite the community by reducing gang violence since the school is staffed by members from the community.
St. Patrick’s Foundation strives to empower at-risk youth and residents of low-income communities by imparting relevant skills, providing opportunities, and offering care. The organization aims to enable their social and economic advancement, promoting a better future for these individuals.
“I am a Board member of the St. Patrick’s Foundation and I have seen the improvements in the lives of the children who are attending the school. The impact on the community and the fact that a focus on early childhood education is the only way/the critical way to transform the nation which this project is undertaking.”
