The projects below received the greatest number of votes from our Massy employees in this region and will therefore proceed to the final stage for disbursing the grants. During this stage further criteria will be reviewed to assure regulatory adherence.

The Schools Road Safety Patrol Program will create road safety awareness among young people at an early age. Children who are a part of the program will be given the opportunity to learn social responsibility, learn the culture of community service and responsibility. It will also serve to develop their leadership skills and give them a good sense of purpose. Many people do not practice good road safety habits because it was not developed as a core value or principle during their foundation years. This project will give young people the opportunity to connect early in their life with the concept of road safety. It will encourage them to share their commitment to safe road culture with their peers and family and contribute to safer roadways in our communities and altogether, contribute to a reduction of deaths and accidents on the roadways .
